The new US-spec Honda HR-V makes its debut!

The new generation Honda HR-V will likely be available in our country with a choice of three engines, namely. If you can’t wait to purchase this car, you can just pick up a Used Honda Hr V for suiting your need. Honda’s newest crossover, the third generation HR-V, was launched in Japan on February 18, 2021, and continues the MM concept of minimizing mechanical space and maximizing interior space to deliver spacious performance.

1.5L i-VTEC natural intake engine with 121PS and 145Nm of torque (same as City Sedan & Hatchback)

1.5L i-MMD e:HEV hybrid engine with 130Hp and 253Nm (same engine as the 2021 City RS, but with approximately 24Hp more)

1.5L VTEC Turbo four-cylinder turbo engine with 180Hp and 240Nm of torque (same as 2022 Civic)

Then there is the Honda Sensing advanced active safety equipment, which we expect to be standard on the 2022 HR-V. Features include automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane departure assist, Honda Lane watch blind spot detection, ACC active cruise control (reportedly with Stop & Go support), AHB automatic high and low beam tuning and LCDA Forward Movement Alert, etc., making it one of the best in its class!

The US-spec HR-V has a new design vocabulary, with a hexagonal tank guard, sharp new LED headlights and taillights, and a more sporty look through its streamlined lines, compared to the international HR-V. The front end of the 2022 HR-V is very youthful and cool with flat, sharp LED headlights, a large horizontal tank guard and a very sporty front bumper.

The rear has highly recognizable LED blacked-out tail lamps and a layered rear design, creating a very sporty look and feel. The US-spec HR-V is based on the Civic, which has a longer wheelbase and wider body to provide better cabin space to meet the needs of North American consumers. Officials emphasize that the new model will have a newly designed independent rear suspension, as opposed to the torsion beam suspension of the international HR-V. As for the power and interior, no official information has been revealed yet.

The interior of the 2022 HR-V is similar to that of the 2021 City, with an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment console (with CarPlay support), semi-digital instruments, a multi-function steering wheel, digital display air conditioning control panel, leather power seats, a sophisticated centre console and more. The 2022 HR-V for the Thai market also features a panoramic sunroof, Wireless Charger wireless charging version and electronic trunk opening + closing, so I really hope these premium features will be available in our country.

You can expect the US-spec HR-V to continue with the Civic’s interior design and powertrain, which is expected to feature a separate centre screen and honeycomb grille, a 2.0L i-VTEC natural-intake engine, a 1.5L VTEC turbocharged engine, and an e:HEV hybrid powertrain. The Honda HR-V will be available for the North American market this summer, but it is almost certain that the C-segment SUV will be sold internationally under a new name, as Honda Europe has already teased that the C-segment SUV will be available in 2023, only with e:HEV petrol-electric power.

The 2022 HR-V also has a number of other selling points, including a rear seat with ULTRA Seats function, four adjustment modes (Utility Mode, Long Mode, Refresh Mode and Tall Mode) and the ability to easily put down bicycles, chairs, small tables and more. The 2022 HR-V is also available in The 2022 HR-V also has an electric tailgate and Walk Away Lock, which is not available on the old HR-V.

Finally, the 2022 Honda HR-V is now available for pre-order at Open Booking in China, where it will be available in four models, starting at a lower price than the 2022 Civic FE, so we expect the price to jump from RM119,800 ~ you should really consider the new HR-V!
