Published

The number of security guard jobs is expected to grow by 15% over the next ten years. Isn’t this a good look at the security business? This is why security services run by professionals are doing so well these days.

Security guards have the most challenging job because they have to keep people safe by making people less likely to commit crimes. And to deal with situations that they can’t plan for, they need the proper training. Security guards are more likely to miss out on important tasks and be less reliable and efficient without the drill.

Having certified security services gives you access to a wide range of knowledge about handling tasks safely. It can make a big difference in business areas where the right services need.

Want to know more about why it’s important for security guards to get training? Read this blog to find out everything you need to know.

1.    Skills to protect yourself from security threats

When security guards get the proper education and training, they know what to do in sudden situations.

For example, they use their training in martial arts like Karate and Taekwondo to protect themselves and their people when they need to defend themselves. Using these strategies can help keep you from getting hurt when your life in danger. In the end, training and guidance help security guards protect people in a flash.

2.    Communicating with words and without words

Communication a big part of how professional security guards found and hired. Since security officials need to give all kinds of instructions, their training helps them with verbal and non-verbal communication. Body language, gestures, and posture are essential in many situations, especially when working in government or law offices.

When making reports for business firms every day, security guards need to be able to describe what they say. The information includes break-ins, fires, and anything else that happened. The most important part of their training and education before they become a leading officer is how to keep track of daily accounts.

3.    Be patient and follow the rules

A good security guard needs to have patience and discipline to do their jobs regularly. Watching over homes, buildings, and offices for long periods takes dedication and patience. And licensed security services have had to go through a lot of training to get good at these skills. It helps them get rid of as many distractions as possible to stick to their schedule. They work hard enough to handle all kinds of situations with confidence and never forget the rules and responsibilities of their positions.

4.    Exercise Good Judgments

Security officers who work for a company have a good track record of figuring out how to make things better. For instance, if a teenager steals a pack of gum from a store, it is worth the trouble and risk to lead them forward.

This doesn’t happen very often because some places don’t want to call the police. After all, they don’t want to hurt their reputation. In these situations, a security guard needs to be able to make good decisions in the middle of chaos.

5.    Strong and fit in a particular way

When something unexpected happens, security officers have to act quickly and satisfactorily. Whether it’s a person acting strangely, a thief, or an armed intruder, their lack of fitness puts people and themselves in danger. They can keep their mental and physical fitness at the same level because their workouts keep them motivated.

If a guard stands in one place and doesn’t move around much, they become sluggish because they don’t get enough stimulation. If they are physically and mentally fit, they are more likely to notice an event and respond in a good way.

6.    Behaving in a bossy way

A good security guard can speak for himself with authority. For example, guards have the power to tell someone off if they try to break into a building. Security guards can stop people from going to certain places, and everyone has to follow their rules and instructions.

Security guards are not useless. They are responsible people in charge of holding the suspect for as long as it is safe to do so. So, to make sure they are as safe as possible, they use this power with respect and care.

7.    Handling Tech-Savvy

As technology has gotten better, security guards are more likely to use high-tech tools to ensure everyone is safe. This is because security guards at businesses use cutting-edge technology and walk around to look for strange things going on. In the past, security guards couldn’t use phones or other electronic devices.

8.    Observational Skills

Security officers are more efficient and valuable before and after work if they are good observers.

During emergencies, security staff works with the police to find out more about what happened. Security awareness comes from noticing things, which is why security guards know everything there is to know about security.

Make your world safer with the help of Metro security

Security is an essential need for both businesses and homes these days. When hiring security guards, it’s pretty clear that they need to train before they set foot on the job site. PayPal quietly reintroduces $2,500 “misinformation” fine

Published

PayPal

Not long after issuing an apology and retracting a $2,500 fine to its users, PayPal has quietly re-introduced the fine into their terms of service and legal agreements.

If enforced, the leading payment processor could fine users the hefty $2,500 sum for spreading “misinformation,” or “hate”, or whatever they deem “unfit for publication.”

While the wording has been changed up, the company has listed several things they would consider fining users over, purely based on speech:

PayPal restricted and prohibited activities

  • The promotion of hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory or the financial exploitation of a crime
  • Items that are considered obscene
  • Certain sexually oriented materials or services
  • Act in a manner that is defamatory, trade libelous, threatening or harassing
  • Provide false, inaccurate or misleading information

The original documents, which PayPal said were published in error, had much looser language on what would get users fined $2,500 over – namely the “sending, posting, or publication” of any “messages, content, or materials” that are “harmful, obscene, harassing, or objectionable.”

PayPal has seemingly taken a firm stance against adult / pornographic content in both policies, while the former prohibited things that “depict or appear to depict nudity, sexual or other intimate activities” the new policy vaguely prohibits “certain sexually oriented materials or services.”

Employee Retention Tax Credit 2022

Published

on

The employee retention tax credit 2022 (ERC) is a tax credit available to employers who keep and retain their employees. The credit is available to employers with 100 or fewer full-time employees. It applies to qualifying wages paid to employees during the business’s first quarter.

If your business is a small business, you can use Form 941-X to claim the credit retroactively.

Employers with 100 or fewer full-time employees

Employers with 100 or fewer employees are eligible to claim a refundable payroll tax credit called the Employee Retention Tax Credit.

This credit was created by Congress under the CARES Act to encourage employers to retain employees. It was originally set to expire on January 1, 2022, but Congress has extended the credit twice. This means that eligible employers can still claim the credit for their taxes for 2020 and 2021.

The credit is limited to wages paid between March 12 and Sept. 30, 2021. In addition, wages paid under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) cannot qualify for the credit. The credit amount is limited to $5,000 per full-time employee in 2020. In 2021, it increases to $7,000 per quarter, with a total credit of up to $21,000 per employee.

Paycheck Protection Program loans are not eligible for the employee retention tax credit

The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) is a tax break for businesses that offer a payroll protection program for their employees. Until recently, employers could not qualify for both programs at the same time. But the new legislation has changed this and now businesses can take advantage of both programs.

To receive the credit, employers must file a Form 941-X, or Adjusted Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return, for each quarter that an employee was a PPP borrower.

The credit is based on wages paid between March 13 and Dec. 31, 2020. For the third quarter of each year, the credit is available for up to $10,000 per employee.

Qualified wages are based on the quarter the business began

To qualify as a severely distressed employer, your business must have had a 90% decline in gross receipts in the previous year.

You must have employed at least one person during this time. The CARES Act does not apply to businesses that are still operating, but it does apply to those that have ceased operations and declined in gross receipts.

Form 941-X is used to retroactively file

The IRS has recently released a new form called Form 941-X. The new form is designed to be filed retroactively and corrects any mistakes that you may have made in filing your original Form 941.

The form must be filed no later than two years after you paid the tax. To file this form, you will need to mail it to the IRS. The IRS does not have the capability to accept it online. If you’ve made significant changes to your business, you may be eligible to claim the ERC. The ERC is equal to 6.4% of the wages you paid to employees during the credit generating period. This credit is not available to corporations with more than 500 employees
