The Jaguar XF is scheduled to be released in 2020, and the 2021 model year has recently been released on the official website. The 2.0-liter turbodiesel and the single P250 R-Dynamic SE are priced at $3.1 million, up $210,000 from $2.89 million before the revision. ClearSight electronic rearview mirror, 360-degree 3D surround-view display, automatic door clamping, HUD, wireless cell phone charging, Clear Exit passenger disembarkation monitoring and many other equipment. Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan said that the information on the official website about the minor changes is only applicable to the first few deliveries of 2021 models in Taiwan, and the subsequent arrival of Jaguar XF 2022, changes in equipment and shortage of restricted chips are still to be confirmed by the original manufacturer.

Jaguar has recently published the specification information of the 2021 model year XF on its official website, which maintains the 2.0-liter turbine power and the single model P250 R-Dynamic SE at $3.1 million, up 210,000 from $2.89 million before the revision. However, the arrival time and equipment changes for the 2022 model year are still subject to confirmation by the original manufacturer.

Jaguar’s 2nd generation XF model with the original code X260 was first launched at the New York Auto Show in 2015 and has been in the product cycle for about 6 years now. In October 2020, Jaguar’s original XF lineup will be followed by the XF four-door sedan and the XF Sportbrake five-door station wagon sold in Europe, all of which will receive a minor facelift. The most important changes to the overseas facelift were the introduction of the 11.4-inch Pivi Pro screen and the addition of a 48V light fuel-electric diesel engine.

In October 2020, Jaguar will also bring a minor facelift to all XF models, including the XF four-door sedan and the XF Sportbrake five-door station wagon sold in Europe.

In Taiwan, Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan was scheduled to introduce the XF with a minor facelift in the fourth quarter of 2021, but due to a global shortage of chips, the supply of new vehicles and the introduction schedule have been affected. Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan said that only a small number of new cars have been ordered for the XF, and the first batch of cars have been certified and will be delivered before the end of the year.

Jaguar Land Rover Taiwan said that only a small number of new XF vehicles have been ordered and will be delivered before the end of the year, so only the 2021 model will be published on the official website first.

Back to the product itself, the XF continues the changes made to Jaguar’s new-generation lineup in the minor facelift, including slimmer LED head and tail lights, high-end LED headlights with a “double J” bar design as standard on domestic models, as well as front dynamic direction indicators and a Pixel matrix headlight package. The water tank shroud has been increased in size and adopted a diamond-shaped design concept, and the air dams on the left and right sides of the front bumper have been enlarged at the same time to show the sportier side of the XF.

In the tail light cluster, the overall silhouette of the XF has not been changed much, with the same horizontal chrome-plated trim running through both taillights. The Chequred Flag package has been removed for the domestic models after the minor facelift, and the R-Dynamic sporty exterior and interior package has been introduced instead. All cars are also equipped with electric tailgate, panoramic sunroof and other high-end features as standard.

The XF is a continuation of the changes made to Jaguar’s new-generation model lineup, including slimmer LED head and tail lamps, and high-end LED headlamps with a “double J” light bar design are standard on domestic models.

Like the F-Pace, the interior of the XF has been updated considerably. The interior of the XF has been completely redesigned with new instrumentation lines and center controls, a flat design, a new generation of Pivi Pro system interface with an 11.4-inch central touch curved screen, and the OTA cloud update system architecture with the original communication “EVA 2.0”. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also included as standard equipment.

The original knob shifters have been replaced with a physical gearshift lever, and the leather and stitching of the gearshift lever are modeled after the cricket ball seat concept. The ClearSight electronic rearview mirror, HUD head-up display, 15W wireless charging for cell phones, adjustable ambient lighting, gesture-controlled electric sunshade, sandalwood black interior canopy, and 400-watt Meridian audio are also standard equipment.

The interior has also been changed from a knob shift to a solid gear lever, and for the first time, 15W wireless charging for cell phones is available.

The minor facelift also adds Remote Remote Control, e-Call SOS and b-Call Roadside Assistance to the entire XF lineup in China. The e-Call SOS emergency notification and b-Call Roadside Assistance service can be used to notify the dedicated service center in the event of an emergency and get the quickest and most appropriate solution or information.

In addition to the safety and driver assistance technology, the ClearSight electronic rearview mirror with a 1.7-megapixel, 60 FPS water-resistant lens has been added, and the 360-degree 3D Surround Camera System, originally called “3D Surround Camera System,” is also standard after the minor facelift. The 360-degree 3D Surround Camera System is equipped with four 190-degree wide-angle HD cameras and 14 ultrasonic sensors to provide an unobstructed view of the vehicle’s surroundings at speeds below 30 km/h. In addition to the AEB automatic braking assist, ACC active speed control with traffic queuing assist, LKA lane shift assist, BSA blind spot detection, driver attention monitoring, and rear traffic alert that have been provided as standard on all models, the rear collision alert and Clear Exit passenger dismounting monitoring system have been added after the minor facelift, which can enhance safety by alerting passengers to the presence of oncoming traffic when dismounting through the warning lights in the car doors. The safety protection is enhanced by the warning lights in the doors to alert passengers of oncoming traffic. However, the minor facelift still does not include lane centering.

The 360-degree 3D Surround Camera System, known as the “3D Surround Camera System,” is also standard on the XF.

The P250 model is the same as the 25T model before the facelift, with a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium engine, rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed ZF manual transmission. The 2.0-liter Ingenium inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with rear-wheel drive and 8-speed ZF manual transmission delivers a maximum output of 250 hp/5,500 rpm and 37.2 kgm/1,300~4,500 rpm, but the sporty suspension has been removed from the domestic model after the minor facelift.

Although the overseas XF is focused on the introduction of the 48V light fuel and electric system, the 48V is only available on diesel models, including the P250 and P300, which are not equipped with 48V. The P250 model introduced in China is the same as before the minor revision.

The use of seawalls has increased in recent years

Well-built seawalls have long been used as an inexpensive way to control coastal erosion. Seawalls are associated with reduced aesthetic value, and increased erosion at the ends and in front of the seawall. Well-built seawalls have long been used as an inexpensive way to control coastal erosion. Seawalls are associated with reduced aesthetic value, and increased erosion at the ends and in front of the seawall.

Seawall construction is one of several options available when high value land cannot be protected in other ways. The approach provides a high level of protection to valuable coastal areas although the long-term sustainability of the approach should also be taken into account. While seawalls do protect coastal properties and beaches, they are expensive, damage wildlife, mainly benefit the rich and encourage risky building near the coast.

Rising tidal activity, in part driven by climate change, increasingly threatens coastal communities. Officials are assessing shore defenses around the country, including considering seawalls. But are such structures the answer, or are there more effective alternatives? The use of seawalls began more than 150 years ago when coastal communities used local stones and rocks to construct barriers. The construction of concrete seawalls began in the early 20th century.

There are only so many ways to play against the rising sea. Seawalls are one option, but they come with a hidden cost — forcing the sand before them to wash away. For every new seawall protecting a home or a road, a beach for the people is sacrificed. Using seawalls to protect against sea level rise and storm surges can be counterproductive, scientists warned in a major UN report this week.

Climate-ADAPT says seawalls provide a high degree of protection against coastal flooding and erosion, fix the boundary between the sea and land to protect important infrastructure or buildings, and have a lower space requirement than other coastal defenses such as dikes. “Living shorelines,” which substitute seawalls with vegetation that could serve both as protection and public open space, has been gaining popularity as a less politically fraught approach. Some lawmakers see this as a way to buy more time as the backlash over relocation continues.

For a century, people have built sea walls to protect against flooding.

That’s changing. Seawalls are expensive to build and maintain. And if they’re allowed to degrade, they can wash into the water and hurt habitats. Environmental experts say many communities that build seawalls aren’t prepared to deal with the ongoing cost or damage to their shorelines.

Seawall construction is necessary to protect against Storms and Flooding

If there are houses, gardens or playgrounds on the coast, seawalls should be constructed in order to protect them. They are the least expensive approach to protect the properties, increasing their value. A seawall provides a high degree of protection against coastal flooding and erosion. It fixes the boundary between the sea and land which can be beneficial if important infrastructure or buildings are located on the shoreline.

A seawall construction provides a high degree of protection against coastal flooding and erosion. It fixes the boundary between the sea and land which can be beneficial if important infrastructure or buildings are located on the shoreline. Seawalls are excellent for protecting waterfront properties from excessive flooding and soil erosion. However, you must be aware of a few seawall construction factors to be able to build a reliable structure.

Since seawalls are part of the many measures taken to protect coastlines, understanding their operation and creation, is fundamental. Though there is controversy surrounding the construction of these structures, there are proven benefits and advantages to building one. Seawalls provide a false sense of security to the owners; since they don’t allow the coast to function as it should. Coastal environments are dynamic and movable ecosystems, the true value to the ecology should be considered before building such structures.

Various environmental problems may arise from the construction of a seawall, including disrupting sediment movement and transport patterns. Climate-ADAPT says seawalls provide a high degree of protection against coastal flooding and erosion, fix the boundary between the sea and land to protect important infrastructure or buildings, and have a lower space requirement than other coastal defenses such as dikes. Seawalls are a form of coastal defence, where a wall is built parallel to the coast to protect land and infrastructure from coastal flooding, and erosion due to wave action. They may also be built to help stabilize a cliff or a bank, and can be made from a variety of materials, such as timber, concrete, rocks, and steel sheet piling.

Defense against erosion and flooding.

The first and foremost advantage of a seawall is its protection against upland erosion and surge flooding. When waves crash against the shore, the wall redirects that energy back to the water. Greatly reducing erosion of the shoreline and keeping your home and land from flooding.

The seawall facilities not only ensure the sustainable and healthy development of the economy in the coastal area but also protect the people’s lives and keep their property safe; meanwhile this is an important countermeasure to global change and sea level rise, and we must strengthen the management by the coastal law and improve the organizational structure.

Seawalls are expensive to build and maintain. And if they’re allowed to degrade, they can wash into the water and hurt habitats. Environmental experts say many communities that build seawalls aren’t prepared to deal with the ongoing cost or damage to their shorelines. Seawalls are structures made of hard material (e.g. stones, concrete, masonry or sheet piles), built to protect the inland area against wave action and to prevent coastal erosion.

Seawalls also serve to stabilize eroding cliffs and to protect coastal roads and settlements. They are built parallel to the shore at the transition between the beach and the mainland or dunes. Seawalls are often found in the case of narrow or steep beaches, where typical breakwaters are either too large or not economical.
